Mark your calendars! EDC Thailand will debut on January 17-19, 2025, when it takes over the Boat Avenue Lakefront in Phuket.

Southeast Asia is a hotbed for electronic music, and countries like Thailand have emerged as home to many festivals over the years while others have set their sights on a future there. Next year, Insomniac Events will be the latest to carve out some space for themselves in the country, with their flagship festival, Electric Daisy Carnival, leading the charge. EDC Thailand, created in partnership with Bangkok’s Billions EDC, will debut on January 17-19, 2025, at Boat Avenue Lakefront in Phuket, the country’s largest island renowned for its beaches and nightlife.

Earlier this year, Pasquale Rotella accidentally leaked the news that Insomniac would bring the Electric Daisy Carnival to Thailand during the live lineup reveal for EDC Las Vegas. This sent viewers into a frenzy with speculation on where and when the festival would be held, and videos surfaced that seemed to indicate that the festival would arrive sooner than many thought.

While what’s to come at EDC Thailand remains a mystery, looking at the other editions of the festival in countries like China and Japan is a good indicator of what could be in store. In the past, Insomniac has brought its beloved kineticFIELD stages and signature production elements along to create an immersive experience. Musically, the lineups for Asian editions of EDC have featured top-tier artists, including Kaskade, deadmau5, John Summit, AFROJACK, Paul Van Dyk, Seven Lions, Skrillex, and more.

Thailand is no stranger to hosting festivals, with experiences like S2O Festival, 808 Festival, and Wonderfruit gaining global recognition over the years. Insomniac isn’t the only behemoth brand with its eyes on the country lately, either. Reports surfaced in March that Tomorrowland was planning to host an edition in the country, but the festival’s organizers quickly went on record to state that they’ve explored the idea, but their plans have not yet been final.

Head to the official website to sign up for updates, and stay tuned for more details on the debut edition of EDC Thailand.
